Students must complete a total of 145 semester hours: a minimum of 115 semester hours toward their undergraduate degree and 30 semester hours of graduate work toward the M.S. in Finance. A sample schedule for the combined degree is available from either the Mathematics Department or Zarb School of Business.
Students admitted to this dual-degree program will receive a B.A. in Mathematics upon completion of the following requirements:
- The complete B.A. requirements as described in the Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences section of this Bulletin. In particular, successful completion of a total of 124 semester hours, including at least 115 semester hours of undergraduate course work and at most 9 semester hours of M.S. in Finance graduate course work.
- The specific major requirements described in the B.A. Major in Mathematics (with MATH 137 used as three of the 12 required advanced undergraduate s.h. numbered above 100 and MATH 138 used for the 138/146/172/173 requirement), as listed below.
