Program Requirements - Total Semester Hours: 41
The departmental requirement for speech-language majors is 124 semester hours for the BA degree, including 41 semester hours in the major area as follows:
Additional Requirements
In addition to the courses listed above, students must complete, under advisement, the following requirements:
- PSY 040 - Statistics Semester Hours: 4
(Speech majors may substitute SOC 180 or BIO 100 .)
- At least 3 semester hours in Biology
- At least 3 semester hours in Physical Sciences (ASTR, CHEM, GEOL, PHYS, and TPP)
- At least 3 semester hours in Behavioral/Social Sciences Distribution (BH)
Notes
- It is possible to choose courses within these three areas which will also satisfy the BA Distribution Requirements.
- Undergraduates may not register for graduate-level courses in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology.
