LIT 056 - Rome: Birth of an EmpireSemester Hours: 3 Periodically
A survey of the major literary achievements of Roman literary authors at the beginning of the Imperial Age (end of first century BCE-beginning of first century CE), within their social, cultural and political contexts. Authors to be read may include Virgil, Horace, Ovid, Livy, and later sources of Augustus’ empire.
