ENGG 197M: Lean Six Sigma For Engineers
This course enables engineering students to acquire an understanding of quality management. This course will cover basic quality concepts, quality theories, and quality standards. Moreover, the course concisely describes the primary quality tools used in manufacturing and service environments. Some of the topics covered will be total quality management, quality and global competitiveness, strategic management, ISO 9000, total quality tools, quality function deployment, statistical process control, and Six Sigma.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Permission of instructor. May be repeated for credit when topics vary. Specific titles and course descriptions for special topics courses are available in the online class schedule.
