ENTR 129 - Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Society and Environment

A course that extends the conventional focus on profit maximization to teach students how to design innovative business models that contribute positively to society and the environment. Building upon stakeholder and paradox theories, this course introduces students to multifaceted challenges and opportunities at the intersection of nature, society, technology, and entrepreneurial activities. Students will engage in the critical examination of real-world examples, ethical dilemmas, and the complex relationships among various stakeholders. The course aims to equip students with the practical skills and ethical frameworks needed to become entrepreneurial leaders in creating sustainable business ventures that serve the triple bottom line: People, Planet, and Profit.

ENTR 115 , sophomore class standing or above.
