An exploration of works by and about Britons of color since the end of World War II, with emphasis on issues of postcolonialism and post-imperialism during the decades in which Britain has become a multiracial society. Authors may include Hanif Kureishi, Salman Rushdie, Buchi Emecheta, Zadie Smith, Kazuo Ishiguro, Andrea Levy, Monica Ali, Sam Selvon, E. R. Braithwaite, Helen Oyeyemi, and Caryl Phillips, among others.
