CRWR 194 - Writing the EnvironmentSemester Hours: 3 The natural world is intrinsically braided with the social, the geographic, the economic, the medical, the political, and the emotional. The relationship of human beings to the ecologies and landscapes we inhabit can be joyful, destructive, or, likely, both simultaneously. In this creative writing course, we’ll read a range of classic and contemporary writing about the environment, spanning diverse voices and perspectives across various genres, including memoir, fiction, essay, poetry, film, and more. Students will observe, research, and reflect in weekly journals and their creative responses.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: WSC 001 and CRWR 133 or permission of instructor
