To do this, the course incorporates theory and history to understand the goals and tensions surrounding intellectual property law from the past to the present. Finally, it attempts to answer the all-important questions of creation and ownership (particularly in the realm of generative artificial intelligence), confidentiality, and the permissible uses of intellectual property in an increasingly digital media universe.
