FIN 285 - Financial Engineering

Theoretical and practical tools for financial engineering, the design and pricing of new financial instruments and risk management. Topics covered include engineering basic financial instruments, structuring complex financial securities, value-at-risk, credit risk, operational risk management, and integrated risk management. Implementation of computational finance applications and programming, using software tools such as MATLAB, in engineering new financial derivative instruments.
