Fall
This course introduces students to phonetics, phonological theories, and practical analysis by focusing on forensic linguistic research questions. Students will gain essential skills in recording sounds for phonetic analysis and forensic transcription; producing, reading, and interpreting spectrograms; and conducting forensic linguistic analyses of spoken data using current technologies.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: May not be taken on a Pass/Fail basis.
