REHB 236 - Practicum: Rehabilitation Counseling Semester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring
Students receive classroom instruction and clinical supervision related to personal and vocational counseling skills. Role play, case consultation, and analysis of simulated counseling sessions reinforce learning. Students are also placed in an approved community-based agency for a minimum of 100 hours, including 40 hours of direct client contact. Field experiences include case management, observations, readiness assessment, effective problem solving, and goal development under the supervision of professional counselors. Legal and ethical issues are discussed.
