NUR 314 - Innovative Interprofessional Teaching and Learning Semester Hours: 2 The course will prepare students to develop and apply skills to support effective teaching, overcome organizational barriers, and effectively lead innovative learning initiatives in nursing education and practice. An interprofessional framework is utilized to aid students in applying principles of learning and adult learning pedagogies. The course includes best practices of education in teaching and learning, assessment and program evaluation, administrative leadership, educational research, and scholarship. Course content will focus on the relationship between student characteristics and the instructional process, examine the impact of organizational structure and processes on teaching and learning, and explores alternative ways to enhance student learning, support mentorship, and foster diversity.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Matriculation in the DNP program.
