MSAT 211 - Physical Examination, Diagnosis and Care 1 Semester Hours: 4 This is the first of a two-semester sequenced course focusing on the medical interview, physical examination techniques, and laboratory studies that foster the development of diagnostic skills and acute care plans, including medical referral. Emphasis is placed on history taking, physical examination skills, note writing and oral presentation skills. Course content addresses injury and illness associated with the brain, skull, face, spine, thorax, abdomen, pelvis and skin.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Open only to students enrolled in the MS in Athletic Training program.
