DPT 501 - Clinical Anatomy I Semester Hours: 4 This course is designed to study human anatomical structures and functions. The course uses regional approach combined with an emphasis on various systems covering the musculoskeletal system (upper extremity, back/vertebral column, and lower extremity); pelvic, thoracic, and abdominal contents; circulatory, pulmonary, integumentary, endocrine, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary system. The major histological components and cellular organization of the major organs of the body will be presented. This course will provide students with correlation to clinical conditions and facilitate understanding of anatomical mechanisms to selected disease processes with emphasis on physical therapy clinical practice.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Open only to students enrolled Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. May not be taken on a Pass/Fail basis.
