FIN 111 - Working Capital Management

Semester Hours: 3
Once a Year

Analysis of the short-term sources and uses of funds with primary emphasis on the management of short-term assets and liabilities. Financial statements and datasets are used for working capital management. Students will integrate course concepts and spreadsheet software to enhance working capital decision-making. Topics include credit and collections, the role of banks, inventory control procedures, financial analysis, cash forecasting, payables, and investing excess cash. The impact of technology, regulations, and globalization on working capital management is discussed.
