LIT 071 - (LT) Russian Culture and the West

This course is an introduction to Russian and Eastern Slavic culture and literature, which are both familiar and alien to Western observers. Through the discussion and textual analysis, we will explore the general relationship between literature, art, culture, and society and the unique role that literature has played in the development of Russian civilization.
