RTVF 129 - Script AnalysisSemester Hours: 3 Periodically
This course explores the art and craft of professional screenwriting — within Hollywood and beyond — through in-depth analysis of cinematic form and various core elements of dramatic narrative structure. You will sharpen your ability to engage principal tenets of narrative filmmaking — tension, escalation, audience desire, visual collision, character and contradiction, dialogue, and montage — and you’ll be introduced to industry standard language regarding screenplay structure and story development.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: RTVF 010 . May not be taken on a Pass/D+/D/Fail basis.
