IT 121 - Fundamentals of Cybersecurity Technologies

Semester Hours: 3
This course introduces students to the core concepts of computer and network security. It covers key principles of cryptography, user authentication, and access controls. Students will engage in hands-on exercises that explore firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, wireless security, and various attack and defense mechanisms. The course is designed to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge, providing a strong foundation for pursuing professional security certifications and advancing in the cybersecurity field.
