MUSB 107 - Entertainment Contracts in the Music IndustrySemester Hours: 3 Spring
This course provides a comprehensive overview into entertainment contracts within the music industry by examining the unique challenges and complexities inherent in entertainment contracts, including those related to talent agreements, recording, licensing, production, distribution, merchandising and intellectual property rights.
Through a combination of lectures, case studies, interactive discussions, and practical exercises, students will explore the legal landscape governing entertainment contracts, including relevant statutes, regulations, and case law. Special emphasis will be placed on analyzing industry-specific practices, emerging trends, and ethical considerations that shape contractual relationships within the entertainment business.
