MATH 085 - (MA) Multivariate Calculus and Linear AlgebraSemester Hours: 3 Spring
This course focuses on selected content of typical Calculus 3 and Linear Algebra courses that provide mathematical foundation for the consequent courses in Computer Science and Data Science programs. The course covers functions of several variables, partial derivatives, gradients, integration of functions of two variables, systems of linear equations, matrix operations, orthogonality, linear transformations, and eigenvalues and eigenvectors.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: MATH 072 . Credit is given for MATH 085 or MATH 073 . Credit is given for MATH 085 or MATH 135A .
