LAW 2906 - Legal Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiation The theories and techniques of these interrelated skills are taught through simulation, with emphasis on legal diagnosis, development of goals and strategies, and the thinking required in helping another person make a decision. Students learn how to interview and counsel clients, interview witnesses, negotiate with each other, draft negotiated agreements and write supporting memoranda. Counseling and negotiation sessions are videotaped and critiqued. Enrollment is limited.
Prerequisites & Notes Evidence is not a prerequisite but is strongly recommended.
