FA 170J - Alternative Photographic ProcessesSemester Hours: 3 Spring
This is a hands-on course that uses a variety of alternative photographic processes. Students work with hand-applied emulsions on art paper using silver, platinum/palladium and cyanotype. Aesthetic and visual sensitivity, individual creativity and experimentation are encouraged along with the development of photographic skills and techniques. Students use other darkroom processes including toning with tea, sepia and selenium. There is emphasis on experimentation and individual expression. Museum/gallery visit.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: FA 170 or permission of instructor. (Formerly 171.)
