LAW 2830 - Environmental Law in Commercial and Real Estate Transactions
This course integrates substantive environmental law issues into commercial and real estate transactions. The common law and statutory bases of environmental liability will be explored and the transactional process from due diligence to closing will be reviewed. Issues frequently encountered in transactions are considered and resolved in the context of specific transactions. Practical skills such as interpreting technical/scientific material, working with technical professionals, drafting, and presentation of findings will be covered. This is a practice-oriented course structured to fulfill the Writing II requirement. Grading is based upon both written work and class participation.
