LAW 3736 - Children and the Law: Legal Relationships among Children, Families and the State This course examines selectively a number of critical legal issues relating to children, emphasizing the allocation of decisional power among the child, the family and the state. Among the topics that may be considered are the child’s economic relationship within the family, parental discipline and child abuse and neglect, medical treatment of children, child custody, adoption, legal re p resentation of children and foster care.
