EADM 280G: Special Topics: Survey Methods in School and Institutional Leadership Semester Hours: 1-4 This doctoral seminar provides students with practical experience in social survey research in Educational Leadership and Higher Education, including survey design, administration, analysis, and reporting. Throughout the course, each student will develop and pilot-test a short survey instrument that aligns with the student’s dissertation research. The hands-on instrument design component of the course will be integrated into an overview of the steps required to carry out a successful survey research project as well as challenges and implications of conducting social survey research at the school, district, and institution level. This on-line course will emphasize methods and strategies to ensure reliable survey responses and valid inferences. Contact Dr. Jackson if you have any questions.
