BIO 116 - Terrestrial Vertebrate Natural HistorySemester Hours: 2 Periodically
Lectures, laboratory, and field experiences are used to learn the natural history of local amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals: the tetrapods. Emphasis on learning species identification, habitat preferences, behavior, and field techniques. Course includes trips to local study sites; some Saturday field trips instead of some weekday meetings. (3 hours laboratory, 1 hour lecture/recitation.)
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: BIO 011 , 012 , 013 , 014 or permission of instructor. Lab fee additional.
