FA 170 - (CP) Basic PhotographySemester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring
Introduction to photography. Course covers the aesthetic and technical aspects of black-and-white film photography, including 35mm camera technique, film processing and development of photographs in the darkroom. Classwork will include assignments, critiques of student work, and visual presentations on photography. Students must have an adjustable 35mm camera capable of manual controls and must buy film, paper and some materials. In addition to class discussions and labs, there is a museum or gallery visit and paper.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Lab fee additional.
