PHI 141 - Ancient and Medieval Philosophy

Semester Hours: 3
Fall
Historical survey of ancient and medieval philosophy, examining pre-Socratic philosophers, Plato, Aristotle, Hellenistic thinkers, and medieval writers from the fourth to the 14th centuries CE, including consideration of the influence of Christianity on the development of philosophy. Course is designed to help students develop competency in the oral presentation of philosophical ideas and arguments.
