ELED 209 - Mathematics in the Curriculum Semester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring
An evaluation of the objectives, content and techniques of teaching appropriate to contemporary developments in mathematics. A theory of instruction based on the intellectual development of children is used as a basis for curriculum design.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: All students will be required to pass a Mathematics Proficiency Examination or pass ELED 041 (3 s.h.) before enrolling in this course. (Both ELED 041 and the exam may only be taken once for credit.) Recommended field placement corequisite: ELED 209L .
