SPED 246I - International Perspectives in Learning Disabilities


Semester Hours: 3
Fall, Spring
This course will examine the theoretical and methodological approaches to the education of children with learning disabilities, including attention deficit hyperactive disorders and study their psychoeducational characteristics in the context of effective instructional practices. This course will enhance students’ understanding of the complex issues surrounding the field of learning disabilities while highlighting research-based reflective and strategic instructional methods. International perspectives will be examined regarding regional and cultural understandings and practices pertaining to students with learning disabilities.

Special Education: International Perspectives (non certification), MSEd  students only.
