The Chinese studies program is an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare students to pursue a career related to China. It combines Chinese language and cultural components to equip students with a relatively solid language basis and general knowledge about Chinese culture, history and society.
The minor in Chinese studies consists of the successful completion of 12 semester hours of Chinese language courses beyond level 2, and 6 semester hours in China-related courses, selected under advisement. At least six hours must be taken in residence.
