Public Relations (PR) is a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics. PR practitioners maintain a public image and manage reputations with consumers, employees, and stakeholders for businesses, nonprofit organizations, and high-profile individuals.

The Bachelor of Arts program in Public Relations is designed to equip students with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills expected of PR professionals in an increasingly diverse media and digitally-based field. The degree curriculum is founded in the liberal arts and incorporates a broad, working knowledge of issues that include traditional and online media, analytics, and business.  Students learn to solve problems, think strategically, and communicate effectively by developing digital and social media, crisis communication, integrated branding, international media, online visual content, copywriting, and media relations.
