Corporate Compliance, Minor in

On both global and domestic fronts, Corporate Compliance is expanding rapidly in areas such as business, not-for-profit, and government, resulting in considerable job opportunities.  Managers and consultants with expertise in the many compliance areas are in increasing demand.  These areas include:

  • Human Resource Management
  • Banking and Securities Regulation
  • Business Organizations and Management
  • Insurance Law
  • Import and Export Regulation
  • Healthcare and Senior Living Administration
  • Ethics
  • Contract Negotiation and Analysis
  • Accounting and Auditing
  • Immigration Regulation
  • Risk Assessment and Management

     Given the present and ever-expanding global and domestic regulatory environments, this minor in Corporate Compliance is designed to combine with the student’s undergraduate business or other relevant major to provide enhanced expertise in the student’s chosen field, while expanding the student’s career choices for entry level and advanced positions.

     The minor is earned upon successful completion of 18 undergraduate credit hours, with grades of C- or better, with at least 9 semester hours in residence. Students who are business majors are permitted a substantial degree of integration with other major course requirements, which potentially provides efficiency in achieving the Corporate Compliance minor credential while earning an undergraduate major degree in business.
