Sports Management, BBA Major in

The Bachelor of Business Administration in sports management is designed to train a future workforce that would have the skills and knowledge required for the growing and evolving needs of the sports management industry.

All majors must have prior approval of advisor.

Required Coursework:

BBA 131 - Practicum in Sports Management Semester Hours: 3
FIN 131 - Financial Analytics for Sports And Entertainment Semester Hours: 3
MGT 131 - Introduction to Sports Management Semester Hours: 3
MKT 126 - Sports Marketing Semester Hours: 3

Elective Coursework (Choose one of the three following tracks):

Sports Analytics Track

Students must take the following two (2) required courses:
BAN 101 - Fundamentals of Business Analytics Semester Hours: 3
BAN 173 - Sports Analytics Semester Hours: 3
Students must select one of the following:
BAN 112 - Spreadsheets for Business Analytics Semester Hours: 3
BAN 150 - Business Forecasting Semester Hours: 3
BAN 165 - Introduction to Python for Analytics* Semester Hours: 3
BAN 166 - Introduction to R for Analytics Semester Hours: 3
BAN 172 - Social Media and Web Analytics Semester Hours: 3
IT 117 - Database Management Systems Semester Hours: 3
IT 170 - Introduction to Data Mining for Business Analytics Semester Hours: 3

Sports Management Track

Students must take the following required course:
MGT 132 - Sports Operations and Facilities Management Semester Hours: 3
Students must select any two (2) courses from the following:
MGT 118 - Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Semester Hours: 3
MGT 119 - Negotiations Semester Hours: 3
MGT 133 - Introduction to eSports Management Semester Hours: 3
MGT 172 - Collective Bargaining Semester Hours: 3
MGT 175 - Management of Change and Innovation in Organizations Semester Hours: 3

Sports Marketing Track

MKT 145 - Digital Marketing Semester Hours: 3
MKT 146 - Social Media Marketing Semester Hours: 3
MKT 169 - Marketing of Services Semester Hours: 3

Complete BBA Requirements

Students must complete all the BBA Requirements , including LEGL 020 .
