The minor in Health Communication is designed to teach students how to engage in effective communication about health care in various personal and professional contexts. The program's focus on communication about individual and community health situations provides a basis for students to better understand the role of the medical sciences and health policy in day-to-day healthcare decision-making. Core courses also impart specific professional skills needed for those students who wish to seek careers in health communication and related fields. The minor in Health Communication is compatible with many major courses of study.
