This 18-credit advanced certificate program provides students with a basic interdisciplinary background in gerontology coupled with a related field placement or capstone research experience.** The certificate is tailored to individual students’ needs, interests, and experience*.
On average, students complete this program in one and one-half academic years.
*Note: While this advanced certificate provides the foundation needed for many different career pathways, it should be noted that completion of the certificate can help interested students fulfill the education eligibility requirements for Geriatric Care Management certification.
