The BA Major in Dance is a performing art program with emphasis on the study of technique, composition, performance and production. The course of study is designed to complement the existing academic programs and to provide students with practical training in dance as an art form.
A personal interview with a member of the dance faculty is required prior to registration as a major.

Program Requirements - Total Semester Hours: 124
Students are encouraged to participate in MOVOM (the Modern Dance Club) each semester. Assignment of students to the appropriate ballet and modern dance courses and labs will be based on prior experience, study and advancement. Students may take ballet and modern dance courses two (2) times for credit, but must complete the ballet and modern dance sequences through level IV in order to graduate.
