LAW 5810 - Veterans Law Clinic
Veterans Disability Claims: a Demonstration Project (hereinafter DP) will teach students about disability and health claims available to U.S. veterans from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and about administrative remedies available to upgrade discharges. Students, supervised by attorneys, will assist veterans with the submission of disability claims to the VA, with appeals of claims that have been denied, and with filing for increases in disability benefits in cases in which that is warranted. Students will also draft, under attorney supervision, discharge upgrade applications as well appeals to the Boards for the Correction of Military Records.
