SPCH 301 - Master’s Thesis I Semester Hours: 1 Fall, Spring
This is a research course in which students will develop and design an original research project. Prior to this course, students must have identified the general objective of their project and obtained agreement from a faculty advisor to serve as their master’s thesis advisor. Students will also need to submit an application and obtain approval from the SLHS department to register for this course. Students will work with their thesis advisor for the duration of the semester. They will conduct a scholarly literature review, develop theoretically driven research questions, and design the methodology for this project. Students will be required to complete the Introduction and Method sections of the written thesis by the end of this semester. Following this course, students will enroll in SPCH 302 to implement this project.
