EADM 274 - School District Leadership Semester Hours: 3 Summer
This course introduces doctoral students to the world of school district leadership with a focus on the district superintendent. Critical areas district leadership will be viewed through the lens of the superintendency. The course will explore basic functions, duties, responsibilities, and current problems confronting practicing superintendents. There will be a focus on administrative theories, organizational behavior, and relations with the school board in the context of current research studies and seminal literary contributions. This course is a valuable resource for school leaders, aspiring school leaders, and those charged with preparing and supporting school leaders.
