COUN 245 - Counseling the LGBTQ+ Client Semester Hours: 3 The purpose of this course is to examine current practices related to counseling gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) individuals. Various instructional methods will be used to expose students to information about LGBTQ+ individuals, experiences, communities, and support resources, increasing students’ self-awareness and multicultural competencies to work with LGBTQ+ clients in counseling.
