NAP 343 - Advanced Nurse Anesthesia Residency I Semester Hours: 4 This is the sixth in a series of seven clinical residencies. In this first advanced nurse anesthesia residency, students are clinically immersed in the registered nurse anesthetist’s role. Students are provided with clinical experiences that promote the independent role of nurse anesthesia practice in critically and surgically ill populations. This residency aims to assist students in refining their critical thinking, clinical decision-making, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills. Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate accountability for implementing care, monitor patient response, evaluate outcomes, and create anesthesia management plans as indicated. Student transition to practice will be fostered through professional and peer mentorship.
