DPT 529 - Scholarly Project


Semester Hours: 1
This course is designed to develop skills in implementing scholarly work in physical therapy. This course focuses on implementing a scholarly project from formulating a research question and implementing the scholarly project to the culmination of preparing the scholarly work for dissemination. Students will be assigned (individual or in a group of 2-4 students) to work with a faculty mentor to answer a research question using research study, case report or systematic review. Students are expected to have a scholarly work that is ready for dissemination as an abstract, poster, platform and/or manuscript.

Prerequisites/Course Notes: Prerequisites for this course include all preceding coursework in the curriculum. Any exceptions require approval from the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program Director.  Pass/Fail only.
