DPT 534 - Telehealth and Technology in Rehabilitation


Semester Hours: 2
This course focuses on the application of technologies in physical therapy and rehabilitation. The course focuses on the use of technology in rehabilitation, including telehealth, health informatics, brain-machine interfacing, regenerative medicine, instrumented motion analysis, wearable technologies, virtual reality, robotics, exoskeleton systems, and other emerging technologies. Recent discoveries in research related to rehabilitation technology will be presented and discussed.

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
Prerequisites for this course include all preceding coursework in the curriculum. Any exceptions require approval from the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program Director.  May not be taken on a Pass/Fail basis.
