JRNL 080 - Digital and Mobile Reporting

Semester Hours: 3
Fall, Spring, Summer

In this advanced journalism course, students develop off-campus news and feature stories incorporating text, photo, video, audio, data visualization, interactivity, and social media, emphasizing mobile reporting and story presentation. Students also explore the ethical and legal implications of emerging technologies and practices. A course goal is publication on The Long Island Advocate, the Lawrence Herbert School’s online multimedia publication.

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
JRNL 013  and JRNL 014 . Lab fees are additional.
