MASS 112 - Surveying Public Opinion: Introduction to Public Opinion ResearchSemester Hours: 3 Periodically
This course introduces the subject of commercial, social, and political opinion research, methodologies and their pitfalls, uses of public opinion studies, the relationship between such studies, and their influence in the marketplace of ideas, services, and products. Other topics include the effect of the polling phenomenon on the press and how news is created out of polling results.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: MASS 011 or permission of the instructor.
