MSAT 212 - Physical Examination, Diagnosis and Care 2


Semester Hours: 4
This is the second of a two-semester sequenced course focusing on the medical interview, physical examination techniques, and laboratory studies that foster the development of diagnostic skills and acute care plans, including medical referral. Emphasis is placed on history taking, physical examination skills, note writing and oral presentation skills. Course content addresses the physical examination of injury and illness associated with the hip/pelvis, thigh, knee, lower leg, ankle, foot/toes, shoulder, upper arm, elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand/fingers.

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
MSAT 211 ; Open only to students enrolled in the MS in Athletic Training  program.
