COUN 228 - Human Development & Learning—Counselors’ Perspective Semester Hours: 3 This course will provide students preparing to enter the school counseling and related helping professions with an in-depth understanding of the developmental needs and learning process of adolescents and children, specifically focusing on educational settings. Related theories, research and practical application will support the students in gaining an understanding of the individual, environmental, and cultural factors that impact growth, development, and learning.
