FIN 245 - Applied Sustainable Finance Semester Hours: 3 An overview of fundamental principles of sustainability (ESG; environmental, social, and governance) and their application in corporate financial management and investment decision-making. The course provides information, skills, and practical experience necessary to navigate the intersection of sustainability and finance. A unique component of the course involves experiential learning, where students manage an investment portfolio with real assets and explore various investing strategies and instruments. Students learn to identify investment opportunities that align with sustainability goals while generating financial returns and develop their ability to communicate effectively and make informed investment decisions in real-world settings.
