ACCT 135 - Accounting Information Systems

Semester Hours: 3
Fall, Spring
Provides students with an understanding of the impact of computer- based accounting systems on the practice of accounting, the functioning of transaction cycles, control and security concepts, and auditing of computer-based data. Students have hands-on exposure to accounting and tax programs providing them with an in-depth understanding of how these systems can be used to assist clients.

Prerequisites & Course Notes
ACCT 133 or approved equivalent. Credit given for this course or ACCT 208, not both. (Formerly ACCT 127, Computer-Based Accounting and Tax Systems.)
